JustLeadershipUSA (JLUSA) is a non-profit organization that amplifies the power of people who have been directly impacted by the criminal legal system to self-organize and empower their communities to dismantle racist and oppressive systems in their communities to build a just U.S.
I joined the team at JLUSA in 2016 as Design and Digital Media Associate, and currently serve as the Digital & Creative Manager.
My roles have included serving as the primary graphic designer and web developer for the organization, as well as partner organizations and former advocacy campaigns, including #CLOSErikers. I also handle photography for many of the organization’s in-person events.
In 2021, I was tasked with redesigning and revising the entire website to not only provide a fresh look, but also reflect the organization’s messaging on empowering leaders in their individual communities.
I’ve also edited together several videos for the organization for social media promotion as well as for live events.
